At Texas Oral Surgery Specialists, we have state of the art of digital imaging suite in our facility. We use a cone beam 3-D system for imaging of cranio-maxillofacial anatomy. This allows us to create high quality, anatomically correct 3-dimensional images reconstructions of the face and skull for diagnosis and treatment planning oral surgery procedures. This imaging system also provides us in-office imaging more quickly, more easily and more cost effectively with less radiation than traditional facial CT scans.
Using this information we can complete a detailed analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation to plan implant treatment and placement. We can also optimize implant type, size, location and angulation prior to the surgical procedure. With expanded views we can also evaluate other portions of the face and skull including the temporomandibular joint.
We are very happy to be able to provide this service in our own facility rather than having to send patients to another facility and return for additional treatment planning.
