We have state-of-the-art of digital imaging suite in our facility. We use a cone beam 3-D system for the diagnosis of cranio-maxillofacial anatomy. This allows us to create high quality, anatomically-correct image reconstructions of the face and skull. These images effectively aid in the diagnostic and treatment planning phases.
Using this information, Dr. Tye can complete a detailed analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation to plan implant treatment and placement. With the use of this innovative software, he can also plan your surgery, placing virtual implants on the image. Therefore, Dr. Tye will already know what type and size of implant he is going to place before you even arrive for surgery. With expanded views, we can further evaluate other portions of the face and skull, including the temporomandibular joint.
In addition to improving the accuracy of diagnosis, our cone beam unit emits 90 percent less radiation than traditional x-ray units. Therefore, our diagnostic tools provide more precise imaging with much less exposure for our patients. At Texas Oral Surgery Specialists, patient safety has always been our top priority.
Many doctors refer patients out for advanced imaging. We are thrilled to be able to provide this service in our own facility. By doing so, our patients can receive time-efficient care that fits into their busy schedules.
The iTero Scanner is a revolutionary method for obtaining intraoral impressions. Used to create a digital map of your mouth, digital impressions eliminate the need for messy, gooey, dental impression materials. Now, iTero can provide accurate reconstructions of your teeth without the discomfort and the gagging.
Once the fast and simple impression is complete, the images will be immediately visible on our computer screen. Dr. Tye can then send these digital files to dental labs and referring doctors to aid in treatment planning and the fabrication of restorations, such as crowns and bridges.
Dr. Tye and our team serve patients in Colleyville, TX, and the outlying communities of Grapevine, Keller, Southlake, and Bedford. If you are in need of an oral surgeon, or if you would like to learn more about our digital technology, you can contact us online anytime, or reach us at (817) 552-3223.
